Brenda completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) in 2020 at Flinders University. Prior to that, she studied a Diploma in Nutrition, Health and Wellness in Singapore. During her gap year before starting uni, she went to design school to pursue her interest in graphic design and took painting classes at art school to stay connected with her passion for fine art.
Brenda strongly believes that physical activity is crucial to holistic health and wellbeing. With a strong interest in sports nutrition, Brenda is currently working with experienced researchers to explore the current evidence base in the Mediterranean diet and sports nutrition/performance. Apart from this, Brenda has been supporting data collection and entry for a large-scale, long-term project to improve Australian children’s vegetable consumption in her role as a research assistant.
Outside of work, Brenda finds time to wind down at the gym, enjoys shooting hoops every now and then, catching beautiful sunsets (and sunrises!), reading, and painting.
