Anna has a Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (Exercise science). Post graduating Anna worked as a dietitian for the food company Compass Group Australia. This involved providing nutrition consults to clients and working with a team to develop and deliver nutrition health programs to encourage healthy food choices.
At this time Anna also gained her sports nutrition accreditation and gave sports nutrition presentations and advice. In 2009 Anna went abroad and worked as a nutrition project officer in Nepal for a year and then Thailand for 5 years, working mainly in nutrition and public health program, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Anna then completed a Masters in Health Promotion and Education at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and in 2018 completed a PhD with the Adelaide University. The PhD focused on understanding the Thailand hill-tribe communities nutrition practices.
Post PhD Anna spent some time in Japan for a post-doctoral position with the National Institute of Health and Nutrition, investigating mindful eating. Anna returned to South Australia in 2019 and worked with Southgate Institute, Flinders University. In her role as research officer she investigated public health policy in South Australia and Australia. Anna is passionate about understanding diet, health, wellbeing and mindset for health improvement.
Outside of her daily work Anna loves to get outdoors, swimming in the ocean, playing sport, doing some yoga and travelling about.
